30 YEARS OF CONNECTION: CELEBRATING OUR TALENT FORUM
This year, Interaction turns 30 — three decades of helping people and organisations learn, grow, and thrive. From 1995 to now, one of the things we’re most proud of is how we’ve developed programmes and environments where people truly connect.
Over the past decade, the Interaction Talent Forum has become one of our proudest achievements. What started as a small gathering of learning professionals has grown into a thriving community — a place to swap ideas, tackle challenges, and discuss all things learning and development. It also continues to provide all-important personal and professional support as people move roles, companies and/or find themselves at career decision points.
Originally meeting quarterly with mainly energy-sector professionals, the Forum has grown into a diverse, multi-industry community combining weekly virtual drop-ins with twice yearly in-person sessions. A down-to-earth friendly atmosphere and open conversations ensures every session attended is time well spent.
During COVID, the Forum provided an invaluable place for connection and support. That sense of community is now firmly embedded. The weekly virtual sessions run as informal drop-ins with topics generated by whoever attends – so it’s tailored content every time! For those wanting more contact and info, you can join the lively Talent Forum WhatsApp group — a hub for ongoing conversations, giving those working in this area a chance to swap resources and opportunities, and share what’s working (and what’s not).
In 2024, the Forum proudly received the Silver Award for Learning Giveback from the LPI — a recognition made even more meaningful because it came from our members themselves.
As one member put it:
“Interaction L&D’s Talent Forum has given solo L&D professionals a genuine community — a place to connect, learn and grow together in a way that simply wouldn’t have been possible alone.”
Another reflected:
“During the pandemic, the Talent Forum became a lifeline, offering support, stability and human connection that helped us stay resilient and positive through unprecedented challenges.”
The Talent Forum continues to evolve — shaped by its members, fuelled by curiosity, and grounded in a shared belief that learning is better together.
Want to be part of it?
It’s free to attend and open to all employer-side L&D professionals.
