Whilst the pressures of change are an age old topic for L&D, we think CIPD have been astute in their choice. With the organisational landscape changing shape at a faster rate than ever before, business agility is a necessity – often survival depends upon it.
Research has shown that the majority of change initiatives fail because too much emphasis is placed on the ‘situational’ change (the vision, processes etc or business agility) whilst scant attention is given to developing people’s skills and behaviour to make the transition (the employee or leadership agility).
As an established training consultancy, we have long been aware of the importance of employee/leadership agility as a means of enabling and enhancing organisational performance and have worked with many clients to help leaders initiate and drive change.
