Mentor or Mentee?

Five weeks into my new mentoring opportunity and all is going surprisingly well. With some apprehension and nervousness I decided to volunteer to become a mentor through the Time Together (www.timetogether.org.uk/) project which matches a local person with a local refugee. Since our first meeting Sabah and I have been to the library, a free India music festival, and the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. Although I have been given the title of mentor, I think this can be disputed! Each week I learn loads more about Sabah and the Somalian culture. In return we practise some English through conversation and I inform her about the English culture.
