The leadership challenge facing organisations across all sectors remains the same; leaders need to succeed in a competitive and global market in leaner, flatter, more fragmented organisations. But the culture and business strategies in those organisations vary enormously so when it comes to developing leaders, the one size fits all approach doesn’t work.
We understand this. Our approach has always been to look at each client with fresh eyes, really listen to what they tell us, and understand the context of their business. We try to get under their skin. So we tailor our programmes to the needs and culture of the organisation. Our programmes are truly bespoke. This flexible approach has played a key role in the successful relationships we’ve developed with clients over the years.
For example, we recently worked with a client to provide leadership development for its high-potential senior managers. The programme we developed had the strategic aims of the business firmly at its core. This was reinforced through the close involvement of the board, the design of the exercises and activities, and the constant reminder of how to apply the learning back at work. As a result, the participants have not only developed their leadership behaviour but they’ve also influenced successful changes in the business:
