Tools and methods

We're not interested in fads and phases - we are only interested in doing things well.

We'll start by understanding what the job is, then we'll select the tools and approaches to get it done.

Follow the links below to explore a cross-section of the methods we use to help people learn:

ILM qualification programmes

Our accredited programmes cater for organisations and individuals who are looking for a solid foundation in their formal development and a qualification in management or leadership.

We have teamed up with the Institute for Leadership and Management and offer Awards, Certificates, and Diplomas in any of Leadership, Management, or Leadership and Management. These can be at Level 3 or Level 5.

Whilst the content and structure of the programmes are prescribed, the delivery is business focused, engaging, interactive and fast paced. Each programme blends theory with practice to ensure that managers can apply what they are learning to work as well as obtain a qualification.

Level 3 programmes are aimed at first line managers or managers aspiring to the role. They provide an introduction to management.

Level 5 programmes are aimed at more experienced middle managers and combine a higher degree of theory with more challenging practical application.

For each qualification, there are mandatory units, but clients then choose further units to suit the needs of their organisation.

One of the main differences with accredited programmes is assessment, which takes place after delegates complete each module or unit. We ensure that assessment is not just about getting the qualification but that it supports transfer of learning; that the topic has been understood and can be applied. Assessment can take the form of a written exercise, presentation, or work based assignments.

Throughout the programme, delegates are supported both by their membership of the ILM and our team of experienced assessors and facilitators.
